Welcome Ireland travelers. . . and those who remain behind
We had a great rehearsal today as we prepare for our trip to Ireland. And also some great traveling tips. Love Elisabeth's ideas about the packing cubes. I learned from my trip to Kenya a few years ago that I can get by with a lot less stuff than I think I need. Many of us on that trip didn't have our checked bags until about 3 days before we were due to return home! So, I always remember that when I pack for a trip now. Always those last minute things, the things I think I just can't do without- well, I probably really can do without them.
So, what's the point of this blog? Well, while we are traveling I will try to post some highlights of each day. You can all help with that by telling me interesting things that happen to you and maybe giving me a picture or two. I'm planning to post by email from my cell phone. We'll see how that works!
Meanwhile, you can pass along the link to this blog to your family and friends so they can have a little taste of our trip before we even get home. They can check in every day or they can become a "follower" of the blog and should have the option of getting an email that lets them know when a post is up. I hope this will add to the fun of the trip. It is also possible to comment on the blog and post to that so you can each add things to the post by comments.
